This sculpture was inspired in response to my children as one by one they left home. Leaving never meant danger for them. It became an exhibition for a winsome sense of joy at discovering their places in the world. Fear never interfered with his adventure. Instead, and attitude of rest, confidence and a zest for life characterized their budding adulthood. At the same time they retained the childlike qualities that have kept them forever the babes so dear to a Mother's heart.
